Snow and Road Equipment Removal in Whistler

Whistler runs on snow gear: plow trucks, sanders, loaders with snow buckets, and sweepers when spring comes. When a unit is retired, we buy it and haul it away.

What are you getting rid of?

Tell us what it is and where it sits. We call back with a number.

Timing

Spring is the easy season

Snow equipment is simplest to move once the season is over: it's parked, the roads are clear and nobody needs it tomorrow. If you're planning to retire a unit, call us in spring or summer and we'll pick a day that suits you.

Winter pickups are still possible, but they depend on conditions on the 99 and how much snow is piled around the machine.

Strata lots, hotels and contractors

A lot of Whistler's snow gear belongs to clearing contractors, property managers and hotels, and lives in a parkade, a compound or a corner of a lot. Tell us where it sits and how much clearance there is. A flatbed can't drive into most underground parkades, so the machine needs to come out to us.

Road work

Road and paving equipment too

Rollers, compactors, line painters and small pavers from road work go on the same trucks. If it's over a ton and it's done working, we'll look at it. Plated trucks that carried snow gear, like dump trucks with plow mounts, are covered on our dump truck and work truck page.

How it works

Three steps, one pickup

  1. Send the details

Use the form at the top or call. Make, model, roughly how heavy, and whether it runs.

  2. Get a number

We may ask for a photo or two, then call back with an offer for the machine as it sits.

  3. We load it and go

We book a truck that suits the machine and the road, load it, strap it and leave the spot clear.

Questions

Snow equipment removal FAQ

Do you take snowcats and groomers?

Yes. Tracked snow machines need a lowbed and some planning, so give us the make, model and where it's parked when you ask for a quote.

Can you pick up in the middle of winter?

Usually, but it depends on the road and how much snow is around the machine. Spring and summer pickups are simpler, so plan ahead if you can.

Do you take the plow and sander with the truck?

Yes. Plows, wings and sander boxes go with the truck. Tell us if any of them have been taken off and are stored somewhere else.

Can you get a machine out of an underground parkade?

Our trucks can't go into most parkades, so the machine needs to come out to street level or a lot. If it doesn't run, let us know and we'll plan how to get it out.

Do you take plated plow trucks?

Yes. Every registered owner signs the registration, we need photo ID, and the plates stay with you.
