Logging and Forestry Equipment Removal

The Sea to Sky has been logged for well over a century, and plenty of tired forestry equipment still sits at the end of a gravel road. We buy skidders, log loaders, processors and forestry trucks and haul them out.

What are you getting rid of?

Tell us what it is and where it sits. We call back with a number.

Access

Pickups off gravel roads and landings

Forestry equipment often sits far from pavement. To plan a pickup, we need the road name and kilometre, whether there's a locked gate, and how the road is holding up. Some resource roads are radio-assisted, so let us know if that applies.

Low branches, tight switchbacks and soft shoulders all affect which truck we can send. If you're not sure, a few photos of the road near the machine help a lot.

Whole machines, as they sit

If the carrier is fine but the head is shot, or the engine's gone but the boom works, tell us and we'll price it that way. We don't buy loose parts or pieces on their own.

Where the work is

From Squamish to the Pemberton Valley

Logging and forestry equipment turns up all along the corridor: around Squamish and Paradise Valley, in the Callaghan and Cheakamus areas near Whistler, through the Soo Valley and up the Pemberton Valley toward Lillooet Lake.

How it works

Three steps, one pickup

  1. Send the details

Use the form at the top or call. Make, model, roughly how heavy, and whether it runs.

  2. Get a number

We may ask for a photo or two, then call back with an offer for the machine as it sits.

  3. We load it and go

We book a truck that suits the machine and the road, load it, strap it and leave the spot clear.

Questions

Logging equipment removal FAQ

Do you go up forest service roads?

Often, yes, depending on the road and the machine. Tell us the road name, the kilometre, gate details and the condition of the road, and we'll tell you if a truck can get in.

Do you buy skidders that don't run?

Yes. A dead skidder can still be winched on, as long as there's room for the truck to get close. Let us know what's wrong with it.

Do you buy processor heads on their own?

We buy whole machines. A head that comes with its carrier is fine; a loose head on its own usually isn't something we take.

What about old crummies and forestry trucks?

Yes. Plated trucks need the registration signed by every registered owner plus photo ID. Unplated trucks need a bill of sale or other proof of ownership.

Can you take several machines from one landing?

Yes. Tell us everything that's there. Combining machines into one trip is easier on everyone.

Old skidder at the end of a gravel road?

Call 236-709-3961 or send the form. We'll call back with a number for the machine as it sits.
