Where we go

Where we pick up in Whistler

Function Junction is where most of Whistler's light industry lives, so a lot of our Whistler pickups start there. But equipment turns up everywhere: on building lots, in strata compounds, behind hotels and out in the Callaghan.

Resort town logistics

Working around a busy resort town

Whistler has its own logistics. The village is busy, lots are tight, parking is limited, and traffic on Highway 99 peaks on weekends and holidays. We book pickups for times that avoid the worst of it and tell you how much room the truck needs.

If the machine is in an underground parkade or a covered compound, it has to come out to where a flatbed can reach it. Let us know the clearance and whether it runs.

Middle of the corridor

Heading north or south?

Whistler sits in the middle of our area, so a pickup here often pairs with one in Pemberton or Squamish. If you have equipment in more than one place, say a forklift at a Function Junction shop and an old tractor on a Pemberton property, tell us about both and we'll plan the route so one truck does the work.

How it works

Three steps, one pickup

  1. Send the details

Use the form at the top or call. Make, model, roughly how heavy, and whether it runs.

  2. Get a number

We may ask for a photo or two, then call back with an offer for the machine as it sits.

  3. We load it and go

We book a truck that suits the machine and the road, load it, strap it and leave the spot clear.

Questions

Whistler pickups FAQ

Do you pick up in Function Junction?

Yes. Function Junction is one of the places we go most in Whistler, for forklifts, shop machinery and yard equipment.

Can you get equipment out of a strata parkade?

Our trucks can't drive into most underground parkades, so the machine has to come out to street level first. If it doesn't run, tell us and we'll plan how to get it out.

Do you work in the Callaghan Valley?

Yes, as long as the road is passable for a truck. Tell us where the machine is and what the road is like.

Do you pick up in winter?

Yes, road conditions permitting. Snow around the machine and on the access road can change the plan, so tell us what it's like when you call.

Is there a minimum size?

We pick up machines over about a ton. Smaller items from the same site can ride along with them.
